Free Travel Certificates - How to Select Them

Free travel certificates come because it exists a need from the hotels to fill the expected empty places. Letting customers sneak into these rooms for free instead of leaving the rooms empty, far from being a charity it is a way hotels use as an investment. A customer that stays in a room probably will use breakfast, lunch or dinner and many other services that are usually related with 4 star hotels.

Free travel certificates then are used as a marketing strategy that allows a person to stay in a hotel room during determined dates and that should give the hotel a bigger return on investment than leaving the room empty. The process from the hotels to the final consumer of these certificates is tricky, and it can become difficult to know which ones you could rely in.

There are some companies that provide with some travel related services that give away certificates but at same time want you to stay at high pressure sales presentations in a way that what they don't get from your stay at the hotel, they expect to get it from your purchases after these presentations. This, far from being a good free travel certificate, is just a way to sell to you something you probably don't need.

How to detect those companies? Mainly, in order to redeem your certificate, they will ask for a high deposit that supposedly they will return after your stay. In reality, this fee won't be returned until you accept to participate to the sales presentation. Any age, gender or income requirements can be also a sign that a sales presentation could be involved, as they are almost probably trying to get a determined market group. In any case, the requirement of a minimum of 18 or 21 years old is something normal as they are not allowed to sell free travel certificates to minors.

Far from all those companies that play with this trick, there are many other good places where to get free travel certificates, but many times the structure of the process is not built in a way that everybody can get a benefit from it. If a company pays for every certificate that gives away to you, this company will not be willing to give away certificate, so you have the risk that problems suddenly appear and you end up with a purchase of a product receiving no prize at all.

Some other companies, which are the good ones, act in a way that for every certificate they give to you, they make money. This structure, which works in a very simple way, encourages companies to help you with any problems when redeeming your certificate and will do all their best in order to make it easy for you to redeem it. Probably after the redemption they will get between $5 and $10, so they are always looking to help.

In any case, the best free travel certificates are the ones that you can get really for free and with the help offered by the kind of companies mentioned above. As you can imagine, most of the travel certificates can be get after purchasing some products, but there are some places that, as they get payed for it, simply are able to give away travel certificates for registering to free places or simply for visiting a web-page. If you find one of this pages, it means that the owner is willing to give away travel certificates and that makes a win-win situation which is really hard to find in the normal businesses.
