High Security Fire Protection Safes and Deposit Safes Are Essential for Home and Business Security

It never dawned on me to use a high security and fire protection safe in the ten years I had a cash business. Each day my high street business turned over between €2,000 and €8,000, one third of which would typically be cash. My takings were always put in the same place under the counter every night. Although I lodged to the bank every day, I should have had a deposit safe at least for overnight protection of cash. On top of that, I had the credit card details of over two hundred customers "hidden" under the counter. Discrete floor safes are not expensive and I could have easily afforded one at the time. I shudder at the thought even as I write! I was never even approached by a salesman for high security and fire protection safes, deposit safes or security safes of any description. If I was starting all over again, security safes would be one of the first things I would have installed in my business premises. Here are the reasons why!

1. Protect Valuable Items - Car keys, mobile phones, laptops, credit cards and wallets should be locked away overnight. They are typically left closest to the most commonly used home entrance or in the kitchen. Thieves targeting these valuable generally have an easy job as these items are usually left in convenient and obvious places close to an entrance door.

2. Protect Irreplaceable Items - For example jewelry of sentimental value, sporting medals and other items which money simply can not buy should be stored ideally in a fire protection safe which will have all the qualities of a freestanding floor safe. Antiquarian documents such as old and rare maps, charters, wills and so forth should be protected if they are being held as an investment documents

3. Protect Important and Personal Documents - Documents such as title deeds, leases, wills, contracts, share certificates and so on are typically stored in old briefcases and are susceptible to loss through fire or even being stolen, misplaced or lost. A high security fire protection safe acts as a designated place for the storage of such items where they will be safe from loss, theft or destruction. Having to take such documents from the safe is somewhat of a ritual, attaching importance to these documents and it encourages safe keeping.

4. Protect Cash - Increasingly, people are storing cash at home. People are also holding physical gold and silver as a hedge against financial meltdown. Hidden safes or floor safes are ideal for these uses as they don't present visible temptation or opportunity.

5. Other Peoples Business - You may be asked to take care of an important object or documents belonging to a friend or relative. Such a task can be a burden unless you have someplace safe and secure to lock the object away. A high security fire protection safe will give you peace of mind when storing a friends items as well as your own, of course.

5. Insurance Claim Handling - In the event of loss or damage, your insurers will want to know if you have high security fire protection safe or a deposit safe on your premises. If you have such a safe in the first place, you may get a reduction in insurance premium. You are unlikely to receive any compensation for the loss or theft of valuable items if they were not stored in a safe. You must assume that your goods will be stolen and take adequate steps to protect your possessions if you want them insured for value.
